MHD-stability of corrugated toroidal systems
Description
MHD-stability of corrugated toroidal systems with round magnetic surfaces is theoretically investigated with account of effects quadratic. Magnetic drop of such systems is calculated. The Mercier stability criterion and g-mode stability criterion are considered. It is shown that contribution of terms, quadratic in plasma pressure, into the Mercier criterion is lacking because of mutual compensation of such terms in the magnetic drop with ballooning terms. It is assumed that the performance results may present interest for systems of ''Dracon'' type and for corrugated INTOR tokamaks
