Description

In some cases models have been constructed which describe only certain aspects of multiparticle production processes ignoring or postulating away other aspects. A typical example of this is the constancy of p-bar/sub T/. This is obviously an unsatisfactory situation and it is the purpose of this review to show that there exists another more fundamental approach which combines the field theoretical and constituent picture with a global description. Essentially this is a quantum statistical approach which exploits the collective nature of multiparticle phenomena
