Peculiarities of penning discharge ignition in weak magnetic field

Description
The possibility of oscillations of fast-moving electrons in a Penning cell is confirmed by calculation which is done by using numerical methods, and peculiarities of their trajectories are described. Electrons, which mostly influence discharge characteristics, are indicated that explains the anomalous curves of discharge ignition in the Penning cell. The theoretical calculations agree with experimental data
