Description

Crystal structure of Sr, Bi-aluminate Sr6[AL123O24]·Bi2O3 prepared in the form of subsidiary phase in the system Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O as a result of its interaction with material of Al2O3 crucible was ascertained. The aluminate features a trigonal unit cell with a = 17.720, c 7.107 A, V = 1933 A'3, sp. gr. R3, Z = 3. Availability of a trigonal bipyramid 'molecular' group Bi2O3, which has not been encountered previously, is specific featrure of the structure. Its structural-genetic role in the formation of the given frame compound of cluthrate type was considered. 15 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs
