Gastrostomy tube pancreatitis

Description
Acute pancreatitis developed in a child following inadvertent placement of a gastrostomy tube balloon in the descending duodenum. After a gastrostomy tube is inserted, radiologic confirmation of correct tube position is recommended to help avoid this rare iatrogenic complication. (orig.)
