Diagnosis of duodeno-gastric reflux after selective proximal vagotomy and pyloroplasty by hepato-biliary sequential scintigraphy using sup(99m)Tc-HIDA

Description
The frequency of duodeno-gastric reflux after selective proximal vagotomy and pyloroplasty was investigated with the modified hepatobiliary sequential scintigraphy using sup(99m)Tc-HIDA. 62% of all patient (n = 50) had proven reflux. In the patients group with postoperative complaints the frequency of fasting and postprandial reflux was considerably higher than in the group without complaints. The non-invasive technique is recommended
