Nuclear power activity in France
Description
The overall nuclear power programme in France is surveyed. It is stated that by 1985 it is planned that 70% of the electrical power will be generated at nuclear plants, and that 94% of power plants under construction and planned are nuclear. A brief survey of the previous GCR type, the present PWRs and the future FBR plants is given. The fuel cycle projects, from uranium prospecting to mining, enrichment, fuel fabrication and reprocessing and waste treatment and disposal, are also outlined. (JIW)
