Contactless determination of the concentration of dissolved substances in liquids means of (n,α)- and (n,γ)-reactions
Description
A new measuring method has been developed by which the concentrations of dissolved substances in static one- or two-phase systems can be determined without contact α- and γ-particles are generated by neutron irradiation in one phase which contains Boron or Lithium compounds. The particles are detected by liquid scintillators. α- and γ-particles are separated by an electronic particle discriminator, and the shape of the particle momentum is analysed. (BHO)

Es wurde ein Verfahren zur beruehrungslosen Bestimmung der Konzentration geloester Stoffe in statischen Ein- und Zweiphasensystemen entwickelt, α- und γ-Teilchen werden durch Neutronenbestrahlung, in einer Bor- oder Lithiumverbindungen enthaltenden Phase erzeugt. Die Teilchen werden mit Fluessigszintillatoren gemessen. α- und γ-Teilchen werden durch einen elektronischen Teilchendiskriminator getrennt und die Form des Teilchenimpulses analysiert. (BHO)
