Description
The study of the effect of preliminary ultraviolet light irradiation with wavelengths λ1 = 254 nm and λ2 = 365 nm on breaking strength, molecular weight, the number of bond breaks, and the kinetics of accumulation of oxygen-containing end groups of polystyrene has been conducted. It has been shown that for the same absorbed radiation dose, the quantum yield of photo degradation of polystyrene under the action of light with a wavelength of λ1 = 254 nm is twice that under the action of light with λ2 = 365 nm.
