Influence of alloying elements adsorption on morphology of secondary phases in Ni-Cr-Nb alloys

Description
The purpose of the work was to study intermittent phase separation in the industrial heat-resistant spring alloy 70NKhBMYu, and also to select the most rational alloying process for Ni-20%Cr-9%Nb alloy to obtain a stable lamellar structure. The structure and morphology of secondary phase separation in the aging of alloys belonging to the Ni-Cr-Nb system is affected by the nature of adsorption of additional components. The mechanism by which aluminium, tungsten and molybdenum act on the morphological sequence of excess phase separation in alloys of the Ni-Cr-Nb system correlates with the influence these elements exert on the stability of dispersed phases and on the surface energy of the interphase boundaries.
