Diffusion and nuclear fragmentation of cosmic rays in a cloudy interstellar space

Description
Transport equation for nucleus component of cosmic rays in the interstellar medium containing randmoly distributed giant molecular clouds is obtained. It takes into account finite transparency of the clouds for diffusing relativistic particles and screening of the internal cosmic ray sources. The equation is used to improve the standard model of cosmic ray propagation in the Galaxy
