Investigation of a counter with a film scintillation radiator

The results of investigation of a scintillation counter consisting of two fins of film scintillator of (80x9x0.1) mm3 size and a plexiglass light guide having the form of a 70 mm high regular truncated pyramid are presented. The counter characteristics were measured by means of 90 Sr(e) and 238 Puα radioactive sources and on the beam of relativistic electrons of the Yerevan synchrotron. The average efficiency of the counter for the sources mentioned is more than 50%. 1 ref
