Description
The intensities of lines in 197Au Moessbauer spectra have so far been very hard to interpret and therefore their use in structure elucidations has not been possible. Owing to the rich variety of new gold compounds in various oxidation states and with different coordination geometries, such an interpretation has now become possible. In addition to the isomeric shift (IS) and the quadrupole coupling (QS), the recoil-free fraction (RFF) has become an important quantity for analyzing the structures of gold compounds. (orig.)

Die Intensitaeten der Linien in 197Au-Moessbauer-Spektren waren bisher kaum zu interpretieren und somit fuer die Strukturaufklaerung nicht zu gebrauchen. Durch die reiche Auswahl neuer Goldverbindungen in wechselnden Oxidationsstufen und Koordinationsgeometrien ist es nun moeglich geworden, diese Intensitaeten strukturbezogen zu deuten. Damit kann neben der Isomerieverschiebung (IS) und der Quadrupolkopplung (QS) nunmehr auch der RFF-Anteil (Recoil-Free Fraction) als wichtige (struktur)analytische Groesse fuer Goldverbindungen herangezogen werden.
