The basic parameters of the Mesooptical Fourier Transform Microscope (MFTM) for nuclear research emulsion, namely, the accuracy of measurements, the resolution, the signal-to-noise ratio, the depth of focus and speed of operation are treated theoretically. The advantages of the MFTM over the traditional optical microscope are presented
