An approach to fast and thermal neutron spectroscopy based on 6Li(n,a)3H reaction

Description
The 2.5 MeV neutron spectrum of a D-D neutron generator and the distribution of thermal neutrons accompanying the fast neutrons, has been studied using solid state nuclear track detectors (CN-85). The neutron energies were determined by means of the kinematics of the reaction 6Li(n,a)3H derived from measurements of the alpha particles (spectrum and angular distribution). (author)
