Device for target alignment

A device for target alignment is described, containing a mobile branch pipe with a gadget for its displacement and the end branch pipe with multibar sensors of ion current. In order to improve the repeatedness of conditions of target irradiation as well as for more effective use of particle beam intensity, the mobile and end branch pipes are joint with the help of the coil, the coil being fixed on the mobile branch pipe flange with the help of the first pair of hinge fingers. The second pair ofhinge fingers connects the coil with the end branch pipe. The proposed device permits to irradiate samples and articles by the heavy current of accelerated charged particles in the accurately defined geometry and to reproduce these conditions when necessary. This device is fit for adjustment of extracted beam in the irradiation regime and can be used at many charged particle accelerators
