Determination of directions of internal fields in BaFe12O19

Description
Moessbauer-absorption measurements were carried out on single crystals and polycrystalline samples of BaFe12O19 (BaM). This material has an easy axis of magnetization along the c axis. At the iron 12k site a deviation of the directions of the internal fields from the c axis is shown. Both the EFG's and the magnetic dipole fields at the iron 12k site form an 'umbrella' around the c axis. (orig.)
