Device for measuring bore holes using artificial radio-activity

Description

The borehole contains salt water or natural oil. The geophysical borehole measurement is carried out with a probe, which contains a neutron source of fast neutrons and a gamma ray detector screened with samarium oxide. The signals of neutron capture-gamma radiation from the detector from H and Cl are evaluated separately by a pulse height analyser with several channels. (RW)

Abstract (German)

Im Bohrloch ist Salzwasser oder Erdoel enthalten. Die geophysikalische Bohrlochvermessung wird mit einer Sonde durchgefuehrt, die eine Neutronenquelle fuer schnelle Neutronen und einen mit Samariumoxid abgeschirmten Gammastrahlendetektor enthaelt. Mit einem Mehrkanal-Impulshoehenanalysator werden die vom Detektor aufgenommenen Signale der Neutroneneingang-Gammastrahlung von H und Cl getrennt ausgewertet. (RW)
