'Home made' - preparation and biological distribution of 99mTc-MAG3

Description
Bz-MAG3 was synthetized in a known manner and characterized using ultimate analysis, H-NMR, IR and electron impingement mass spectroscopy. The labelling using the stannous chloride method and tartrate as auxiliary ligand yielded 99mTc-MAG3 with an average radiochemical purity of 96.4% and sufficient stability. The correct organ distribution and blood clearance in comparison with a reference preparation is proved by animal experiments. With an acceptable expenditure a technique has been developed to make the very expensive 99mTc-MAG3 more cheaply available. (author)
