Non linear oscillation in a hot plasma
Description
Within a macroscopic, one dimensional model, the non-linear evolution of large-amplitude electron oscillations is investigated taking into account the thermal effects. Modifications of the dispersion relation due to thermal motion of electrons are given. Besides, finite plasma temperature leads to an amplitude-dependence of the frequency of oscillations and yields a variation of the breaks down condition
