Report

A re-appraisal of low frequency radio emissions associated with extensive air showers

  • 1. Adelaide Univ. (Australia). Dept. of Physics
  • 2. Hatfield Polytechnic (UK). Dept. of Physics

Description

Previous reports of radio emissions from EAS indicate that its intensity at frequencies below 10 MHz is many times greater than any theoretical prediction. Analyses of experiments at 2 MHz and 3.6 MHz are reported. No signals were detected. The detection of signals at 100 kHz using a horizontal wire antenna, was continued. (orig./HPOE)
