Steam generator for NPP with the VGR-50 reactor
Description
A review of steam generator characteristics for the HTGR is given. The steam generator design of the two-circuit NPP with the VGR-50 high temperature helium cooled reactor is described. The helium inlet and outlet temperature is 800 and 275 deg C respectively, the pressure - 4 MPa, the flow rate 12.7 kg/s, the steam generator capacity - 34 MW. The steam generator provides superheated steam generation at the temperature of 540 deg C, that reaches by feed water flow rate control, when the plant is operated in the load range of 30-100%. In this case the gas temperature at the steam generator outlet is sustained constant by helium flow rate changing. The average temperature of the wall in the hotlest region (at the superheated steam outlet) constitutes 580 deg C at the 100% load. The desing of the experimental steam generator section provides simulation and the possibility of carrying experimental data obtained on the standerd steam generators
