Cesium perchloratoaluminates

Description

The production of cesium perchloratoaluminate of CsAl(ClO4)4xHClO4 and CsAl(ClO4)5xHClO4 by reacting cesium chloridoaluminates with hydrochloric acid and by reacting aluminium chloride and bromide with cesium perchlorate solutions in hydrochloric acid is described. Thermal desolvation of the products in a vacuum yielded individual cesium perchloratoaluminates of CsAl(ClO4)4 and CsAl (ClO4)5. The composition and properties of the products obtained depend on the Cs:Al ratio in the reaction mixture. The compounds obtained were investigated by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray phase analysis
