Technology of radioactive waste solidification and compacting
Description
Technological processes of solidification and compacting of radioactive wastes are presented taking as example the operation of the Wastechem VRS system at the Hope-Creek NPP and the Westinghouse compactor operation at the Gariliano NPP. Equipment of the systems and their purpose, operational characteristics and process peculiarities are described. Operation results and main recommendations are presented
