Description
This set of articles focuses on various aspects of improving the wood-energy sector if this sector wants to play an important role in energy transition. Thus, the heat recovery of combustion smokes by condensation systems results in good efficiencies, more particularly when the network feedback temperature is low. As far as the resource is concerned, the valorisation of wood in its end of life can be interesting whereas issues arise about the role of the French forest as a carbon sink, depending on its exploitation mode. An article discusses how to improve the efficiency of public support modes, notably through the Heat Fund. New technological options like pyro-gasification are presented
