Research progress in blood blister-like aneurysm of the internal carotid artery

Blood blister-like aneurysms arising from the anterior wall of the supraclinoid internal carotid artery are very rare, however they have unique characteristics and special treatment. We retrospectively analized the recently relevants literature covering nation-wide and abroad with comprehensive study of the morphology, pathology, pathogenesis and treatment strategy. Selection of proper treatment during different periods for blood blister-like aneurysms would have comprehensive efficiency. (authors)
