Solvent extraction of copper, nonferrous and rare metals with carboxylic acid hydrazides

Description
Conditions of extraction of Fe2, Fe3, W6, Mo6, V5, V6, Cu2, Zn2, Ni2, Co2 metal ions by hydrazides of aliphatic and alicyclic acids were studied, solvents and modifiers were chosen, stability of the hydrazides to hydrolysis and oxidation was evaluated, probable composition of the compounds extracted was discussed. It is shown that hydrazides of naphthenic acids are the best extractants
