Heavy liquid metal coolants technology (lead-bismuth and lead)

Description

Results of investigations into properties of lead and lead-bismuth alloy, physicochemical processes in non isothermal circuits, corrosion resistance of constructional materials, sources of impurities and their effect on the efficiency of the unit are discussed. Scientific foundations of handling with heavy coolants were developed, new constructional materials were chosen or produced, procedures and equipment of control and regulation of quality of coolant, procedures and systems for removing of impurities from coolant and from surface of circuit were worked out

Abstract (Russian)

Обсуждаются результаты исследования свойств свинца и свинцово-висмутового сплава, физико-химических процессов, протекающих в неизотермических контурах, коррозионной стойкости конструкционных материалов, источников примесей и их влияния на работоспособность установки. Разработаны научные основы обращения с тяжелыми теплоносителями, выбраны или созданы новые конструкционные материалы, разработаны методы и устройства контроля и регулирования качества теплоносителя, методы и устройства удаления примесей из теплоносителя и с поверхностей контура
