Treating of persons with locally extended carcinoma of larynx using irradiation in regime of doze dynamic multifractioning

Description

Fifty men with locally extended carcinoma of larynx treated in 1995-1997 were examined. Irradiation therapy of those patients in the regime of doze a dynamic multifractioning allowed to achieve a 3 year relapse free survival in 46,3±9,1% of persons. The method resulted in a reliably more often complete tumour regression in 44% of cases as well as in a reduction of local relapses by 10% (in 32% as compared to 42%) and in an increase of general survival to 74,9±9,2
