Effect of MOx (m - Mg, Sr, Al, La) additions on the formation of YBa2Cu3O7-β

Description
The sequence of phase formation by synthesis of the YBa2Cu3O7-β in presence of strontium, magnesium, aluminium and lanthanum oxides is studied. It is noted that replacement of the part of the charge of the YBa2Cu3O7-β by strontium does not effect practically the phase formation; replacement of barium by lanthanum felicitates the formation of the tetragonal phase 123, whereas the replacement by aluminium and magnesium accelerates the phase 123 decomposition
