Generator-coordinate form factors for transfer reactions between heavy ions

Description
In the framework of the distorted-wave Born approximation, a generator-coordinate formalism is used for optical waves. This results in a microscopic prescription for the calculation of transfer reaction form factors. A preliminary analysis of the reaction ⁵⁴Fe(¹⁶O, ¹²C)⁵⁸Ni gives a reasonable fit to the angular distribution.
