Analysis of a long oscillatory power transient at the IBR-2 reactor
Description
A nonlinear model of power feedback was selected to ensure, on the whole, a good approximation of the calculated power transient to the measured one with a large amplitude. The model of reactor without a regulator appeared to be unstable. However, if the set reactivity decreases slowly below a certain level, transients are stable in said model. The attempt to describe the measured transient in the framework of a stable model was not successful. (author)
