Structure and properties of some composite materials based on wurtzite-like boron nitride

Description
The methods of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis are used structure of wurtzite boron nitride-base materiais produced in presence of different admixtures (titanium carbides, aluminium and zinc oxides) under high pressures and temperatures. It is established that microstructure of the produced materials represents compositions where wurtzite boron nitride particles are surrounded by interlayers of introduced mixtures. Strength of the cakes is insignificant. When the cakes are destructed the produced particles of the sintered material contain wurtzite and sphalerite modifications of boron nitride as well as admixture traces. Introduction of the admixtures increases compression atrength of the material on the base of dense boron nitride forms
