Search for the top quark in muon-electron plus jets in D0

Description
At the fermilab p bar p Collider with √s = 1.8 TeV, if mtop is greater than mW + Mb, the standard model predicts that pair production is the dominant top quark production mechanism. With the standard decay mode of t → W + b, a clean decay signature for the pair exists with W → eν, W → μν, plus b-jets. Here the authors present preliminary results of the top quark search using high PT muon-electron plus jets events from the D0 detector
