Preparation method of tungsten carbide
Creators
Description
A method is described for the preparation of tungsten carbide in powder form from tungsten oxide powder in which the tungsten oxide is heated to 800-1,0500C, preferably to 8500C, and is reduced by the addition of carbon monoxide. The partial pressure of the CO2 then formed must be kept below a necessary equilibrium value for the formation of the carbide. The waste gas (with max. 20 Vol% CO2) is hardly reduced and is recycled in the circuit. (UWI)

(UWI)Files
