Estimation of body potassium with a whole body counter
Description
A technique for estimation of body potassium with a whole body counter is described. The clinical significance of potassium in the body is explained. Calibration methods for 40K are described. A relation is established between the total potassium in the body and the height, weight, age and sex. Results obtained by direct measurements on a few subjects are given. (A.K.)
