Designing a high-strength weldable steel using methods of mathe-- matical planning of experiment

Description

Equations of multiple regression of the type ''chemical composition-properties'' for weldable low-carbon alloyed steel heat treated for equal strength (σsub(0.2) >= 750 MPa) in weld and base metals are obtained. Using simplex-method of linear programming the steel composition with σsub(0.2) >= 700 MPa is optimized according to criteria of ductility, fracture toughness and crack resistance with limitations as to chemical composition to obtain a satisfactory weldability
