Experimental observation of plasma heating by microwaves with ω ≅ ω/sub pe/
Description
We present experimental observation of enhanced collision frequency and energy absorption produced by large-amplitude microwave power illuminating a plasma with ω/sub pe/ ≥ ω. The threshold rf fields found for the enhanced heating are in reasonably good agreement with theoretical predictions. 16 refs., 5 figs
