Designing and construction an etching apparatus for nuclear track detectors

In this work, home made water bath for chemical etching od nuclear track on solids was designed and constructed. The new apparatus bath enables the processing of many detectors at the same time (about 200 detectors). One of the characteristics of this apparatus is maintaining a nearly foxed temperature (± 1 C) during the developing process of the tracks which last last for a few hours. In addition , this apparatus has the possibility to rotate the detectors in two directions during the etching process as this will save in the etching time and produce better results. (author)
