Description

Survey of indoor and outdoor radon concentrations in carbonized brick dwellings in Provinces Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Anhui. Results indicate that radon concentrations are, respectively, in the range of 86∼303 Bq/m3 indoors, with an average of 151 Bq/m3, about 3.4 times the radon concentrations measured in control areas and 12∼74 Bq/m3 0utdoors, with a average of 35 Bq/m3. Average annual radon concentrations in coal wells are 9.51 × l03 in Hubei and 965 Bq/m3 in Zhejiang, respectively. In addition, the study results on variations of indoor and outdoor radon concentrations in bone-coal mine areas are presented. (authors)
