  • 1. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Taejon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

The conceptual design of the 3-pin Fuel Test Loop(FTL) in HANARO was started on Dec. 2001 and both basic and detail designs were completed in the middle of 2004. In this paper we describe the current status of the FTL development with emphasis on the design characteristics. The safety analysis report was prepared and submitted in 2004 to the regulatory body, KINS, for review and approval of the FTL, and the development team focuses on purchasing and manufacturing of the major equipments, and prepares for the installation, commissioning, and operation of the FTL
