A simple beam-energy homogenizer and automatic measurement of excitation functions

Description
A beam-energy homogenizer system has been developed using a pair of parallel-plate deflectors to improve beam-energy resolution. A control unit of magnet power supply has been designed for the exact setting of beam energy. Excitation functions are automatically measured using a magnet-current control unit controlled by an on-line computer. (orig.)
