Calculation of complex carbonitrides solubility in vanadium and niobium containing low alloy steels

Description

Methods for thermodynamic calculations of complex carbonitride (V, Nb) (C, N) solubility in low alloy steels are proposed. Using chemical and x-ray diffraction analysis investigation into carbonitride composition and number of phases availuble is conducted and comparison of experimental data to thermodynamic calculation results is performed. A satisfactory agreement of calculation and experiment results is obtained
