A preliminary study on the ability of the plate-array-grating in scattering suppression
Description
Scattering is the key blocking for the density restoration in the high energy X-ray photography, In this paper, a plate-array-grating is proposed to tackle this problem. Compared to the multihole-grating proposed earlier by people, the plate-array-grating is much easier to fabricate while their ability of suppressing the scattering are at the same level according to our theoretical analysis and MC simulation. Even after applying the plate-array-grating/multihole-grating, a portion of the scattering can still remain. A recipe is proposed to deal with them. With the recipe the scatterings can be reduced by 2-3 times further. This also eases the fabrication of the grating. (authors)
