Influence of chemisorbed hydrogen and deuterium on the reconstruction of W (100) surface
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Spektroskopii
Description
The vibrational spectra of chemisorbed hydrogen on W(100) have been obtained in the range of 1080-930 cm-1 on a (100) face (structure p(1x1)H and on a restructured face (structure c(2x2)H). A deformation vibration harmonic is observed on the c(2x2)H structure. It is found from the change of the absorption of the surface electromagnetic wave that chemisorbed hydrogen and deuterium fix the c(2x2)H structure, and the reverse restructing occurs simultaneously with desortpion of hydrogen and deuterium
