Feedwater treatment as a new problem in power plant engineering

Description
The supplementary problems caused to the chemist from environmentally related parameters have reached a significant level. They require that the usual, but no longer essential measurements should be discontinued or at least reduced. This paper highlights the crucial points of chemistry, for example problems of nuclear power plant chemistry, the mode of operation of water-steam-cycles, chemical engineering procedures in flue gas desulphurization plants, material maintenance, environmental analysis and process engineering of water and waste water treatment. Abstract (German)
Die zusaetzlichen Aufgaben, die aus der Ueberwachung von umweltrelevanten Parametern auf die Chemiker zugekommen sind, haben ein grosses Ausmass erreicht. Sie zwingen dazu, bisher uebliche, aber nicht mehr notwendige Messungen entfallenzulassen oder zumindest zu reduzieren. Es werden im Rahmen des Beitrages Schwerpunkte der Chemie aufgezeigt, z.B. Probleme der Kernkraftwerkschemie, der Fahrweisen der Wasser-Dampfkreislaeufe, der chemischen Verfahrenstechnik von Rauchgasreinigungsanlagen, der Werkstoffpflege, der Umweltanalytik sowie der Verfahrenstechnik der Wasser- oder Abwasseraufbereitung.
