Device for the uranium determination in solutions

Description

The invention concerns a device for the uranium determination in solutions in particular within the range of low concentrations (<= 0.5 mg/l) on the basis of a chemical enrichment and a physical measuring system. Measuring pellets consisting of polytetrafluorethylene treated by di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid are used for the uranium enrichment. The Cd-109 radionuclide sources excite the X-ray fluorescence, which is measured by a proportional scintillation detector with a minimum resolution capability of 8.5% and a pulse capacity of 105 s-1
