Grand Gulf, Mississippi's first nuclear power station consists of two BWR/6 reactors nearing completion. The various factors leading to the building of the station are described. Site selection is discussed and an account is given of damage to various components caused by a tornado in 1978, during construction of the station. (U.K.)
