Flux distribution around a neutron source
Description
The neutron flux distribution in and around a spherical neutron source in an infinite moderator has been calculated with two-group diffusion theory. It is seen that the absorption of slow neutrons in the source gives a maximum in the slow neutron flux outside it in agreement with experiments. The influence of the source size is also studied
