Multiple scattering of electrons: angular distribution and diffusion condition

Description

The angular distributions of electrons incident normally to medium of definite thickness are obtained using Monte Carlo method. The elastic and inelastic collisions and the Bremsstrahlung event were simulated in details. The Gaussian distribution function was proposed for the angular distribution of electrons. The dependence of results on the electron initial energy, thickness and atomic number of medium was discussed. In thicker medium, where diffusion prevails, the angular distribution is closer to the Cos2θ form than to the Cosθ from.
